Located in the York Region, northwest of Toronto, Maple is part of the city of Vaughan, in Ontario, Canada. Maple is unincorporated, so its geographic boundaries are unclear. However, the center of Maple is located at the intersection of Major Mackenzie Drive and Keele Street. Maple is part of the Golden Horseshoe in Southern Ontario.
Approximately three kilometers west is the nearest major highway exit at Highway 400 and Major Mackenzie, as well as Highway 400 and Rutherford Rd. Maple is situated 13km NE of Woodbridge, 11 km E of Kleinburg, 8km S of King City, 6.5km from downtown Richmond Hill 12 km NW of Thornhill N of Highway 401. Northeast of Maple is the Oak Ridges Moraine.
One kilometer west of Maple lies the west branch of the Don River, rising to the northwest. Maple is accessed by the Maple GO Station.
There are several schools in Maple such as Maple Creek Public School at 210 Hawker Rd. Maple High School at 50 Springside Rd and Michael Cranny Elementary School at 155 Melville Ave.
Public facilities include Maple Library and the Civic Centre Resource Library of Maple.
