Located in North York, York Mills is known for being an affluent neighbourhood. The district is centred around Yonge Street and York Mills Road. South of York Mills Road and Yonge Street sits the sub-neighbourhood of Hoggs Hollow. Another portion of York Mills is named St. Andrew-Windfields. And one more named Silver Hills. York Mills is bordered by Hwy 401 to the north, Leslie St on the east, York Mills Rd to the south bordering Windfields and Yonge St on the West. Bayview Ave is the main road that will take you north-south and vice versa. While York Mills Rd will take you west to east.
York Mills is surrounded by Bayview Village to the north, Graydon Hall to the east, Bridle Path to the south and Armour Heights on the west.The main shopping area is the York Mills Shopping Centre at the intersection of York Mills Road and Bayview Avenue located at 291 York Mills Rd. The York Mills Centre houses most large offices and retail spaces at 16 York Mills Rd. York Mills does not have much green space but does have Saint Andrews Park, Tournament Park and Mossgrove Park.
York Mills Station is the only subway station in the neighbourhood. Additionally, the Oriole GO Station is located in the northeast corner of the neighbourhood.
