Toronto’s York district includes Oakwood Village, formerly known as Oakwood-Vaughan. Oakwood–Vaughan is still referenced. For example in Google Maps you will still see Oakwood–Vaughan.
The neighbourhood is also known as OV, an acronym of Oakwood Village or Oakwood–Vaughan. It’s borders are based at Eglinton Avenue West in the north (Briar Hill–Belgravia). Dufferin Street in the west (Caledonia–Fairbank), St. Clair Avenue West in the south (Corso Italia and Bracondale Hill), and Winona Drive plus Arlington Ave in the east (Humewood–Cedarvale). The northern half of the neighborhood is nicknamed Five Points due to the intersection of Oakwood Avenue, Vaughan Road, and Belvidere Avenue. The western half of the area used to be called Northcliffe and is now referred to as Northcliffe Village.
Three bus routes run continuously 24/7 through the neighbourhood: the 29 (Dufferin Street), the 32 (Eglinton Avenue West), and the 63 (Oakwood Ave). Other places adjacent to Oakwood Village / Oakwood–Vaughan area Fairbank to the north. Regal Heights to the south and Regal Heights to the east.
