“The sun was shining brightly on the water as I cast my line into the pond for another try at catching a fish. There were green trees all around me with their leaves beginning to turn red from autumn starting to settle in; they gave off just enough shade that made it not too hot while we sat out fishing together. My dad told us about how he used to come by this spot when he would go fishing when he was younger and showed me pictures of him sitting next to some friends who came along back then, I wonder.”, said one of the locals fishing at the park.
“I’ve been coming to this park for as long as I can remember. It’s a great spot since it has such beautiful scenery and wildlife, but that also means that there is a lot of opportunities for conservation efforts, like cleanup days or even just picking up trash from the ground in general,” said one local who came out with his wife to enjoy the view at Topham Pond Park.”, said one of the park’s volunteer.
